Overview

The Ausangate 7 Lagoons route circles a string of high-altitude lakes at the foot of Ausangate, the highest and most sacred mountain of the Cusco region (6,384 m). Each lagoon has a different colour depending on its minerals, and the trail is shared with herds of alpacas and llamas from the community of Pacchanta.
